Frog Song- the Story of Toughie Storytime Webinar

May 8 @ 3:00 pm - 4:00 pm

Join us for a captivating tale of Toughie, the last Rabb’s fringe-limbed treefrog as we read “Frog Song” by Megan Hollingsworth. This storytime session will cover the life of Toughie, a treefrog from Panama whose story brings to light the desperate plight of frogs and salamanders around the globe. The storytime will include a dramatic reading followed by a virtual frog craft. Registrants will be provided with craft instructions in advance to virtually participate. The story is for Grade 2-4 audiences but all ages are welcome to join in.

The storytime is sponsored by the Association of Fish and Wildlife Agencies and Amphibian Foundation as part of #AmphibianWeek. We would also like to thank the author, Megan Hollingsworth, and the illustrator, Bonnie Gordon-Lucas, for permission to use the story. Closed captions will be provided via Zoom. Amphibian Week Storytimes will be live, online, interactive programs led by environmental educators. We welcome all interested parties to attend.

Educators, if you are interested in participating in the storytime with your class, we need your verification that you have the necessary permission from your students’ parents or legal guardians for your students to participate in the activity. The session will not be recorded.
