Amphibians & Reptiles in Winter

January 24 @ 11:00 am - 12:00 pm

What do our cold-blooded friends do in the winter? What adaptations do they have to survive? What does brumation mean? Which species is currently having a hard time surviving cold water changes and what happens when they don’t move quick enough? Join us in this class to learn the answers to these questions and some of the awesome ways reptiles and amphibians survive the cold. After discussion, students will get creative to design and present their own cold-blooded adaptations. This workshop is mixed-age and geared towards homeschool students ages 7-14 years old. Cost is $17/student and includes materials. Advance registration is required. Location: The PEA Studio, located inside Champion Kids [in White Hawk Business Park], 1465 Canton Rd. Suite 100 Marietta, GA 30066 (Hosted by Explore Wildwood).
