
Natural Capital/Water Quality Intern needed immediately to last 4 to 6 months (dates are flexible). As part of our Natural Capital Initiative, Manomet Center for Conservation Sciences is investigating water quality issues in vernal pools in Massachusetts and promoting Best Management Practices for vernal pool conservation. Intern duties involve a variety of research and planning tasks.
Duties: The intern will collect and compile information and data from municipal and state entities regarding practices that may affect water quality such as road salting, mosquito spraying, septic systems, and transmission line corridor maintenance; assist in development of outreach materials for landowners, municipalities and other stakeholders; and assist with other planning and research tasks as needed.

Manomet offers an excellent opportunity to participate in and contribute to science-based conservation planning and implementation.
Desired qualifications: Degree in biology, wildlife/conservation management or equivalent, good writing and communication skills, and basic computer skills.
Position term: Internship is full-time, temporary (approximately 4 -6 months).
Expenses paid: $400/month stipend towards food. Dormitory-style housing on beautiful Cape Cod Bay provided.
